GARNISHING WITH PARSLEY!

IT’S MORE THAN JUST FOR DECORATION! 🙂

We are all familiar with the green leafed tree that decorates our plates at restaurants. Did you know that parsley was actually more than a garnish?  This herb is a jack of all trades in the culinary world and should be treated as such. First of all, the herb is packed with vitamin a, b, c, e, k, and it’s great for your digestion. No wonder chefs have been putting it on your plate for years. It is supposed to be eaten after your meal. However, parsley can be used to eliminate waste, maintain gas, and relieves bloating, water retention and does this with its anti-inflammatory substances. This little green garnish can even help freshens your breath.

Parsley should be called the next Superfood. Not only is it packet with a ton of vitamins, but it can be used as an antibiotic and may aid against other bodily illnesses or infections as well. As an antibiotic, parsley boosts the immune system and may also help prevent other things like the common cold or flu, as well as treat bladder and urinary tract infections. The herb also contains high amounts of apigenin, which is an anticancer property. Eating parsley may help reduce the risk of beast, skin, prostrate and other cancers. The herb can also be used as an anti-inflammatory, as well as a detoxifier; eating it will definitely help keep you healthy. So, the next time a chef adorns your plate with a leaf of parsley, you should thank her for caring about your health enough to put it on your plate.
